PLAYWRITING WORKSHOP: A New Play Development Program
Teens 13 to 19 years old
From Idea, to Page, to Stage (24 weeks)
Students will explore the most effective way to tell stories in dramatic form and will finish the class with an original short play.
Over the course of six months, young inspiring playwrights will be collaborating on an original, full-length play with Urban Broadway Theatre Group. Playwrights will meet virtually with UBTG Artistic Instructor(s) in workshop sessions creating a unique, exciting, entertaining scripts. Then they will present their play publicly.
Playwrights will complete the program in the fall September 2021 with a carefully developed scripts and outstanding performance depending on COVID19 live or virtually.
The Digital Playwriting Session will take place bi-weekly starting the week of March 22, 2021.
